Lenexa Chiropractor Dr. Emilio John

Dr. Emilio John

Chiropractic has been a passion in my life since I was introduced to it while playing soccer.

In the early to mid 80's, two parents of players on a youth soccer team that I coached were chiropractors.  During games, they were extremely helpful in evaluating and determining which injured players were capable of continuing to play.  I also had the privilege of working along side a chiropractic intern that participated weekly in officiating soccer games.

My decision to inquire and research the profession had a lot to do with both my interactions with chiropractors at soccer games and my desire to help people.  Because of the flexibility to specialize in sports injury, I knew that chiropractic was my future.

I received my undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences from Quincy University and a Master of Science degree in Health Services Administration from the University of Kansas.  After many years of coaching and several years of playing professional soccer I enrolled and graduated from Cleveland Chiropractic College in December 1989.  My first practice opened in February of 1990 focusing on family care, sports injuries, hands and feet.

Personally

Annette, my wife of 31 years and I spend our spare time traveling and keeping up with our son, William who plays professional soccer in Europe. Over the years, we have enjoyed traveling the United States and Europe meeting people from all over the world.  I derive most of my exercises from coaching and playing soccer and periodically playing competitive table tennis.

My wife and I receive chiropractic care every 2 weeks and our son gets regular adjustments when he comes home in the off-season.  Together we follow the 8 basic simple health principles.

Thanks for visiting my site.  I look forward to meeting you in person and learning how I might be of service to you.  If you have any questions, please call our Lenexa office or email me using the link below to arrange a time to explore your options.

Dr. Emilio Asks some important questions of interest to Lenexa residents - Chiropractor Lenexa Dr. Emilio Asks...

How come medical doctors don't recommend chiropractic?
That's changing. Years of prejudice and bias are giving way to research showing the benefits of chiropractic care. As more and more Lenexa folks seek alternatives to drugs and surgery, more and more medical practitioners are referring their patients to chiropractors.
How long does it take to form a bone spur?
Many who begin chiropractic care think their problem happened "last week when you bent over funny." But pictures of the spine tell a different story. Chiropractors know it can take your body years to deposit the calcium necessary to form a bone spur. It's your body's response to stress due to gravity or joint malfunction. And chiropractic care can help.
